Academics (constructively or not) attempt to systematize the world around us. At worst, their analyses can create mirages of understanding. At best, they can help us identify and construct new pathways toward understanding. The focus, whether micro, marco or other is simple: distill truths (big and/or small) that snap-shots experiences—our ordinary life/observations—skip over.

A Very, (Very) Very Short Story.
